How good is the lightning protection in NRMA chargers?
Does NRMA have advice regarding charging at their chargers during thunderstorms? I'm wondering if lightning strikes nearby power lines (or even occurs nearby, inducing high voltage in the lines), how protected from a high voltage surge are vehicles that are connected to a charger?
I certainly don't risk charging during storms at home, even though the risk is very small in my off-grid system, but I frequently see large electrical arcs across an insulator, with associated smoke and spray of sparks, in the high voltage power line 150m from the house, from lightning strikes many kilometres away.

I read the Tritium manuals. They are fitted with surge protection devices. I imagine they all are regardless of make.
