Pricing and details released for Subaru’s first EV in Australia
Subaru Solterra electric SUV will go on sale in Aus tomorrow, priced from high $70,000s before on-road costs.
Notably, it is also the first battery electric vehicle from Toyota, as the Solterra is in essence a re-skinned Toyota bZ4X.
The announcement lands just days after Toyota copped criticism from EV pioneer Tesla for claiming EVs are “impractical for the vast majority of Australian motorists”
An exclusive pre-order invitation has been sent to interested drivers that have registered their interest.
Specs:
- 12.4” central touch screen,
- 7” instrument cluster
- Powered driver seat with electric lumbar support, and heated front and back seats
- 71.4kW battery recharged in around 30mins from 20 to 80%
- Range of 414km
