NRMA reminds EV drivers of EV charging etiquette
Thousands of EV owners will be hitting the roads for their Christmas road trip holiday and the NRMA is reminding drivers of EV charging etiquette. The calls come following reported longer wait times and improper use of chargers last year during the busy holiday season.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
- Plan your charging stops before embarking
- For shorter distances charge up to 80% -
- No 'camping'
- Many charging apps allow you notify other drivers you are waiting in-line to charge
Don't forget, In order to charge at one of NRMA’s charging stations drivers need to download the My NRMA app, which now includes the option of guest charging, along with discounts for My NRMA members.
What are some of your tips you'd like to share with EV owners on how to manage road trips?

Time to roll out idle fees!
Works well with the Tesla Superchargers.
