EV sales June 2023: Tesla Model Y outsells Ford Ranger

Electric vehicles (EVs) continue to soar in popularity in June as Tesla achieves record-breaking sales figures. With over 25,000 vehicles sold in the latest VFACTS report, Tesla secured the sixth position for the month and eighth overall in brand sales for the first half of 2023.

The Tesla Model Y electric SUV outperformed popular models like the Toyota RAV4 and Ford Ranger, becoming the second-best-selling passenger vehicle in Australia in June. Year-to-date, electric vehicle sales have quadrupled compared to last year, with an impressive 43,092 new pure electric vehicles hitting the roads in the first half of 2023.
